Map
Use the Map whenever you need a quick, map-first view of the places tied to your investigation. You can switch between Default, Satellite, Dark, and Street View modes, follow numbered pins, and read field notes without leaving the graph canvas.Interface overview
The Map window is arranged into three zones so you always know where to look for controls, the live map, and supporting details.Control bar: map styles and Street View
- Mode toggles — Switch between Default, Satellite, and Dark base maps to match daylight, aerial, or low-light views.
- Street View — Open a split Street View panel for the active location when imagery is available.
- Fullscreen — Maximize the map or Street View view to remove distractions during deep dives or briefings.
Map canvas: interactive exploration
- Numbered pins — See up to five saved locations, each with a number that matches its order in the details panel.
- Click to focus — Select a pin to recentre the map and highlight the matching card.
- Smooth zoom — Use your mouse wheel or the on-screen controls to get the detail level you need.
Details panel: context at a glance
- Location cards — Read the custom name, formatted address, and precise coordinates for the highlighted pin.
- Source and confidence — Check reliability labels before you share or escalate findings.
- Notes — Review analyst comments with preserved line breaks for quick instructions and follow-up tasks.
- Open in Google Maps — Launch directions or extra research from the current card.

Change style
Choose Default, Satellite, or Dark from the control bar.

Click a numbered pin or use the arrow controls to switch between cards.

Drop into Street View
Press Street View from the control bar or the location card.

Share or save the view
Toggle Fullscreen for a clean screenshot or launch Open in Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions.
