TXT Viewer
Use the TXT Viewer to analyze transcripts, chat logs, or scraped records without leaving the graph. It keeps long-form text readable with search, formatting, and export utilities tailored for investigations.Opening the viewer from a linked File node keeps the document and its metadata synchronized. Any notes you add in the node remain intact when you return to the canvas.
Interface overview
The TXT Viewer window is organized into three productive zones: the toolbar for controls, the reading pane for content, and the status bar for quick stats. Each zone stays responsive as you adjust fonts, widths, or search queries.Toolbar: search and formatting controls
- Search with navigation — Locate terms instantly, step through matches, and clear queries when you reset your focus.
- Font adjustments — Change font size and switch between monospace or serif families to improve readability for long transcripts.
- Layout toggles — Enable word wrap for narrative text or line numbers for forensic log analysis. Download the raw file at any point.
Reading pane: focused text analysis
- Highlight matches — Search results glow in yellow, with the active match auto-scrolling into view for context.
- Optional line gutter — Show or hide line numbers without reloading the document; the gutter scrolls in sync with the content.
- Wrap control — Switch between pre-wrap and fixed-width rendering to match the structure of the original data source.
Status bar: quick statistics
- Line and character counts — Track document length and monitor how far you are into long-form evidence.
- File metadata — Keep filename and approximate size visible while you cross-reference other nodes.
